Where It Started
About Jillian & The Balanced House
My passion for organization has been lifelong. From the time I was a kid, organizing and simplifying spaces has brought peace to my surroundings, from fitting new school supplies into a new backpack to organizing our pantry for fun. When I was a teenager, family members suggested that I should pursue organizing as a business.
My decade in managing museum artifacts and several years teaching and mentoring at the collegiate level was ultimately one big lesson in organizing, creating systems, and perfecting how to share that information with others--just like I'll do in your home during our sessions. Add in three kids, including twins, and I've cemented that those people when I was a teenager were right, and organizing is in my blood. I'm excited to share that passion and help to bring balance to homes in our community and beyond. |
The Balanced House Philosophy
Living Balanced doesn’t mean purging treasured items or living a life of extreme minimalism that doesn’t meet all of your family’s needs. It means unique solutions for each family, crafted to how they live and use their homes. It’s all about finding the balance of meeting your needs but being in control of your belongings so they can contribute to an enjoyable space instead of weigh it down.
